Residential Program Manager
Summary: The Program Manager provides leadership and oversight to ensure individuals receive high-quality, person-centered support in a safe, respectful, and engaging environment. This role works closely with individuals, families, staff, clinical professionals, and internal departments to coordinate services, support individual goals, and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and oversee individualized support plans based on each person's needs, preferences, and goals.
  • Assess individual needs and acuity using required state assessment tools, including ODDP, IAF, AAI, and other applicable assessments.
  • Coordinate with families, support networks, and clinical professionals to ensure appropriate services and continuity of care.
  • Monitor implementation of support plans, documentation, staffing, safety, and quality of services.
  • For medically complex programs, maintain awareness of individuals' medical needs, recognize changes or concerns, and coordinate with appropriate licensed clinical professionals.
  • Lead, train, coach, and support staff while promoting teamwork, accountability, and positive behavior support.
  • Delegate responsibilities, provide regular feedback, and ensure staff complete required training and competencies.
  • Work with Scheduling to ensure appropriate staff coverage for assigned homes, including providing direct support as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, Facilities, Scheduling, IT, Volunteer Services, and other departments to support effective program operations.
  • Help individuals build meaningful community connections and experience opportunities for relationships, employment, activities, independence, and quality of life.
  • Participate in management team meetings, share feedback, and contribute to continuous organizational improvement.
  • Participate in the agency's rotational on-call system and maintain responsibility for an assigned caseload.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher required for ICF Home Management
  • GED or HS Diploma required for Waiver Home Management - 18 years or older
  • 3-5 years' experience in the field of Developmental Disabilities
  • 3+ years' experience in supervision or management
  • Prior Direct Support Professional experience preferred
  • Prior medical experience with mechanical ventilators preferred
  • Valid Driver's License, good driving record and auto insurance
  • Able to pass criminal background, drug test and physical

Physical Demands:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and possible exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods.
  • Ability to maintain stability when assisting individuals, particularly during mobility support or when navigating uneven or hazardous environments.
  • Adequate vision and hearing to monitor individuals' needs, recognize safety hazards, and communicate effectively.
