The Asphalt Roller Operator position is critical as we build better communities. Here are some things you will do:
- Visualize and implement the Clyde Companies, Inc. vision and core values.
- Operate heavy equipment, specifically asphalt roller, productively, efficiently, and safely.
- Work with screed man and foreman to complete a quality project meeting compaction requirements
- Assist in cleaning out paver
- Grease, oil, and performs minor repairs on equipment, using grease gun, oilcans, and hand tools.
- Direct and teach laborers/operators as assigned
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Additionally, we're looking for:
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Understand paving procedures
- Experience rolling different types of asphalt mix including UDOT or state mixes
- Ability to work overtime in summer and winter conditions
- Valid driver's license and clean MVR
- CDL and ability to run a distributor truck a plus, but not required
