Job description

Overview

Kinetic Sunlight LLC is seeking an experienced AC Electrician to lead commercial solar PV and battery storage installations. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong AC and DC electrical experience, utility interconnection knowledge, and the ability to safely manage field crews while delivering high-quality installations.

Pay range starts at $40-$45/hourly depending on experience. Additional compensation will be available for Electricians with a journeyman certification or C10 license. 

The ideal candidate has experience with service upgrades, main panel upgrades (MPUs), battery energy storage systems (ESS), commissioning, troubleshooting, and specifically utility interconnections at the commercial level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise solar installation crews.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and commission solar PV and battery storage systems.
  • Perform AC and DC electrical work, including service upgrades, MPUs, load centers, disconnects, meter sockets, and utility interconnections.
  • Read and interpret electrical plans, schematics, and single-line diagrams.
  • Perform system testing, startup, and commissioning.
  • Coordinate inspections and ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, utility, and local code requirements.
  • Maintain safe, organized, and productive job sites.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of solar, electrical, or related construction experience.
  • Strong experience with both AC and DC solar electrical systems.
  • Experience with utility interconnections, service upgrades, and battery storage systems.
  • Ability to read electrical plans and one-line diagrams.
  • Strong troubleshooting and conduit installation experience.
  • Previous crew lead or foreman experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites.

Preferred Qualifications

  • California C-10 Electrical Contractor License or Master Electrician
  • NABCEP Certification.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification.
  • Experience with Enphase, SolarEdge, Tesla, FranklinWH, or similar platforms.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work at heights and in outdoor environments.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
