ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently hiring a Carpenters / Framing Assistants to support the installation of custom outdoor structures including patio covers, motorized screens, pergolas, and louvered roof systems. This is a permanent full-time position offering stable year-round work and opportunities to advance into a Lead Carpenter role with greater responsibility and earning potential.


The right candidate will have previous experience in construction, framing, carpentry, or general installation work and be comfortable using hand and power tools on active job sites. Work is performed throughout the Boise region and nearby communities. This position is well suited for someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in craftsmanship, and works well as part of a fast-paced installation crew.


WHAT YOULL DO

  • Cut, assemble, and install aluminum framing, louvers, retractable screens, and related components
  • Read and interpret project plans; measure and layout job sites accurately
  • Perform basic electrical hookups for powered systems (training provided)
  • Lead projects, supervise a small crew, and install custom outdoor structures such as patio enclosures, louvered roofs, and screen rooms
  • Keep job sites safe, organized, and clean while maintaining tools and company vehicle in good condition
  • Communicate with project managers and sales to align on project details
  • Update project status, track materials, and coordinate with the warehouse team
  • Occasionally assist with local trade shows or product displays
  • Represent Suncoast professionally with a customer-first approach on every job


WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR

  • 13 years of experience in construction, framing, or exterior installation (or equivalent skills)
  • Comfortable leading a small crew
  • Ability to lift 75+ pounds, climb ladders, and work outdoors varying conditions
  • Valid drivers license, reliable transportation and clean driving record (required)
  • Skilled with hand tools, power tools, and reading measurements
  • Comfortable using phone or tablet for basic project updates
  • Dependable, detail-oriented, and team-focused
