Work Environment

The work setting at Suncoast Counseling and Wellness is completely remote, allowing you the flexibility to work from your preferred location while still impacting clients’ lives meaningfully. Utilizing a telehealth model, you will engage with clients via video conferencing, providing therapy that fits their schedules and needs. Key Responsibilities

As a licensed Mental Health Counselor, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to understand each client's mental health needs, history, and strengths.
• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to the client's specific needs and therapeutic goals.
• Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, conducting individual therapy sessions that focus on addressing issues such as trauma, anxiety, depression, and other mental health conditions.
• Monitoring client progress through regular evaluations and adapting treatment plans as necessary to ensure continued effectiveness.
• Maintaining meticulous documentation in accordance with ethical and legal standards, ensuring that client records are up to date and confidential.
• Participating in regular supervision, team meetings, and ongoing training to advance your therapeutic skills and stay updated on best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will involve a diverse population of clients, including adults and adolescents dealing with a wide range of mental health challenges. You will have the opportunity to employ various therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, and solution-focused therapy, allowing for a personalized approach that meets each individual's unique background and circumstances.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

• A current and valid state license as either an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor), LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist), or a doctoral degree in psychology (PsyD).
• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
• Demonstrated clinical skills and experience in therapeutic practices with a variety of mental health issues.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, allowing for clear and empathetic dialogue with clients.
• A strong commitment to ethical practice, social justice, and client-centered care.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following experience would enhance your candidacy:

• Experience providing teletherapy services and familiarity with relevant technology platforms.
• Prior work in a private practice setting or community mental health organization.
• Specific training in trauma-informed care or crisis intervention strategies.

Compensation and Benefits

Suncoast Counseling and Wellness offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 – 100,000 per year, based on your caseload and professional experience. Additional benefits include:
