Job Overview

Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a CNC Machinist, where your expertise in precision machining will drive the production of high-quality components. In this energetic role, you'll operate and program CNC machines, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in every part you produce. Your mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and passion for manufacturing will contribute to our commitment to excellence and continuous improvement. Shift

1st shift: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM

2nd shift: Monday-Friday 3:00 PM-11:30 AM

Pay Range: $26.00 – $32.00+/hour (based on experience)

Differential: $2.25/h for 2nd shift

Expected Base Annual Salary: $54,080 – $66,560+ per year, plus differential and overtime

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC milling machines and CNC lathes, primarily using Fanuc controls, to produce complex parts according to technical specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings to verify dimensions and tolerances.
  • Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to inspect parts during and after machining.
  • Maintain proper tooling, tool changes, and machine calibration to uphold high standards of accuracy.
  • Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and assist with setup adjustments as needed.
  • Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying opportunities for process improvements and waste reduction.

 

Skills

  • Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T principles, and mechanical drawings.
  • Ability to operate precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines accurately.
  • Familiarity with tooling setup, hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and assembly processes.
  • Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality control procedures.
  • Experience working with plastics injection molding or manufacturing environments is preferred.
  • Ability to operate forklifts safely when required for material handling.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles to promote efficiency and continuous improvement in machining processes.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.


Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Preferably 5+ years of CNC machining experience
  • Mastercam experience is a plus
