• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to identify patients' emotional, social, and financial needs within the context of their detox experiences.
• Provide individualized and group counseling to facilitate coping strategies, addressing issues related to adjustment, grief, and substance use.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans that promote optimal health outcomes for our patients.
• Coordinate post-discharge services with community organizations to ensure continuity of care and a smooth transition for patients returning to daily life.
• Offer vital emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding treatment options, coping mechanisms, and available resources.
• Participate in departmental committees, offering specialized knowledge on social work practices to continually improve patient care services.
• Respond to crisis situations by providing timely intervention, counseling, and support to both patients and their families.
• Maintain meticulous and timely documentation in alignment with hospital policies and legal requirements, ensuring all patient records are accurate and up-to-date.

As an LCSW, you will focus on supporting individuals undergoing detoxification, many of whom may be facing significant life challenges related to substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. Your role will involve working with a diverse client base, providing proactive interventions that foster recovery and promote overall mental health stability.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
• Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of best practices regarding mental health, medical terminology, and crisis intervention techniques.
• Excellent communication skills, allowing for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

• A minimum of two years of experience in a healthcare or hospital setting is preferred, particularly in roles focusing on mental health and substance use disorders.
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with data compliance practices.
