About This Role

Joyful Beginnings Academy (JBA) is looking for a passionate and dedicated 4K Teacher to lead our 4-year-old classroom and help get kids ready for school success! You’ll deliver developmentally appropriate instruction aligned with Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards (WMELS) and support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth. This role plays a key part in our participation in Wisconsin’s Get Kids Ready school readiness initiative, which supports high-quality programming for 4-year-olds.


What You'll Do
  • Plan and implement a play-based, developmentally appropriate curriculum that meets WMELS and supports school readiness.
  • Create a safe, positive, inclusive classroom environment where every child can learn and grow.
  • Assess children’s progress and adjust instruction to meet individual needs.
  • Communicate regularly with families about children’s development.
  • Partner with co-teachers and assistants to support classroom success.
  • Maintain records and ensure compliance with all center and regulatory standards.

Requirements
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree (required for Get Kids Ready lead instruction).
  • Knowledge of early childhood development and best practices.
  • Ability to foster a supportive, engaging learning environment for young learners.
  • Current certifications such as CPR/First Aid (or willingness to obtain).
  • Background check clearance and compliance with Wisconsin licensing standards.
