Associate Attorney for Coverage Litigation
Established (25+ Years) Premier Firm Seeking an Associate Attorney for Coverage Litigation in Irvine, California.
 
An established firm based in Irvine with over 25+ years in practice is seeking an Coverage Litigation Associate Attorney with 0-3 years of experience to join their team in a hybrid capacity (4/1). This role involves handling coverage litigation for insurance defense, while representing carriers, excess insurers, and self-insured entities from pre-suit through trial and appeal. We will train the right person! 
 
Offer: 
Salary range: $100,000-$140,000, contingent on experience

Qualifications: 
Active membership in good standing with a U.S. state bar 
0-3 years of insurance defense experience - Will Train! 
Familiarity with claims handling practices, billing guidelines, and reporting requirements
Experience working within e-billing platforms
Strong legal writing, analytical, and courtroom advocacy skills
Ability to manage multiple matters and communicate effectively with clients and claims professionals
 
Responsibilities: 
Handle third-party insurance defense matters for coverage litigation
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and coverage-related correspondence
Conduct depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial preparation
Maintain compliance with carrier billing, reporting, and litigation guidelines
Collaborate with claims professionals, excess carriers, and monitoring counsel on high-exposure matters
Advise insurers and self-insured clients on litigation strategy and risk exposure
Manage files efficiently while meeting case deadlines and client expectations
