Description:

Local Radius rule: 50 miles, 10% reduction to bill rate
Employee Separation Policy: Any past employee of UPH whether FTE, or PRN for the UPH float pool, cannot work travel in another Market no matter which facility they currently work at, or have worked at within the past 12 months. If they worked travel at UPH (not FTE or PRN), the separation policy does not apply
HOLIDAY update: unless the Unit is closed, your contractor is required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming Summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)

  • NBO: 16 hrs
  • EMR: EPIC
  • OT/Holiday: 1.15x multiplier
  • Call Back: 1.5x multiplier with 2 hr CB minimum
  • On Call: ***/hr
  • Charge/Precept: ***/hr
Billable OT:
  • 36-40 hrs/week, OT billable after 40
  • 48 hrs/week, OT billable after 48
UNIT Info
  • Equipment: Drager, Jet, Oscillator
  • Patient Types: all ages; primarily adults with NICU
  • Scrubs: any color tops and bottoms, solids
No CRTs will be considered by the Department Leadership

Orientation Dates: 8/31, 9/8, 9/14

  • 24 months of of RRT/Respiratory experience in Hospital setting, -- CRTs will NOT be considered---
  • EPIC emr experience [required]
  • ALL certs must be active [required]
  • NO 1st time travelers, must have completed a travel assignment within the past 15 months [required]
  • IA/Iowa Respiratory license -- will accept licensing candidates; 1-3 week turnaround time
  • Equipment experience; jet ventilator [required]
  • Equipment experience; Drager Vent [required]
  • Equipment experience; Oscillator Vent [required]
  • Must be willing/able to float across different units throughout the hospital
  • NICU experience within the last 18 months [required]
  • Level III NICU experience within the last 15 months [required]
PROFILE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Work history/resume/employment history must have 36 months of current RRT / Respiratory Therapy experience [required]
  • Skills Checklist must be specific to the discipline listed on the job (Respiratory Therapy) - [required]
  • IDPH / Iowa Department of Public Health / Respiratory Care and Polysomnography - [highly preferred] [document]
  • Professional Reference/Reference Check - charge/supervisor/nurse manager/director/CNO/COO performance evaluation/reference from within 24 months of today's date [preferred]
  • Driver's License [document] [required]
  • AHA/American Heart Association or ARC/client BLS / basic life support - [required]
  • AHA/American Heart Association or ARC/client ACLS / advance cardiac life support - [required]
  • NBRC / National Board for Respiratory Care -- [required]
  • PALs / pediatric advanced certificate [required] [document]
  • NRP / neonatal resuscitation certificate [required] [document]
