Job Description
- Perform thorough patient evaluations, including physical exams and comprehensive assessments of medical histories
- Assist in assessing and diagnosing surgical conditions through analysis of imaging results and lab findings
- Work hand-in-hand with surgeons to develop and implement individualized surgical treatment strategies
- Provide vital intraoperative assistance, including preparing the operating rooms, ensuring optimal patient positioning, and efficiently transferring surgical instruments
- Offer outstanding pre- and post-operative care, encompassing medication management, wound care, discharge planning, and educating patients
Education
- Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Clinical rotation completion with a focus on surgery is highly preferred
Certifications
- Current unrestricted PA-C certification
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant
Skills
