Job description

The Hawthorne Public Schools Technology Department is currently seeking candidates for paid summer technology internships. (20 - 25 hours per week)

As a Technology Intern at Hawthorne Public Schools, you will have the unique opportunity to work alongside our experienced technology professionals and gain practical, hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment. You will contribute to various projects and initiatives, enabling you to develop your skills and deepen your understanding of the technology industry. This internship will provide you with a comprehensive learning experience, exposing you to different facets of technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Technology Department to support the development and implementation of technology solutions.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technology-related issues.
  • Participate in the testing and quality assurance processes for classroom and educational based technology.
  • Assist in the deployment, and implementation of new laptops, chromebooks, computers and other technology hardware.
  • Participate in preparation of all technology related hardware and systems for the upcoming school year.
  • Contribute to the documentation and maintenance of technical processes and procedures.
  • Provide support in managing and maintaining IT infrastructure and systems.
  • Assist in creating reports, presentations, and other materials as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with operating systems and computer networks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute to the technology industry.
