Position Reports to: Director of Talent

Start Date: June 1st - July 17th 

Hours: 7:30am - 4:00pm/ 8:00am-4:30pm (schedule varies)

Compensation: $25/hour

Position Summary:

Classical is excited to be hiring for Summer Interns. This is an opportunity for 4 Juniors (Class of 2027) interested in educational equity to spend 7 weeks at one of the highest performing schools in the country, during our Summer Learning Academy for scholars from Kindergarten to Eighth Grade. Upon successful completion of the internship, high-performing interns will receive an offer to join our prestigious ClassiCorps Teaching Fellowship, to which only 3% of general applicants are admitted annually. 

Interns will help prepare the school for Summer Learning Academy, receive training and coaching in instruction and classroom management, participate in all aspects of the school during the day and lead the after-school program focused on inquiry-based learning. Interns will also participate in a number of network wide projects, including enrollment and family engagement, curricular planning, data analysis and school setup. They'll be exposed to Classical's approach to: 

  • Instructional planning 
  • Full- and small-group instruction (elementary grades)
  • Teacher development and coaching 
  • Grading and tracking 
  • Operations 
  • Enrollment and family engagement 
  • Content marketing
Qualifications:
  • Currently a college Junior (Class of 2027)
  • Experience working with children
