Summer Activity Camp: Pickleball Camp Instructor (Miller CC)
Associated Recreation Council (ARC), in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation, is seeking a qualified
Pickleball Camp Instructor to lead pickleball camps for children ages
5-12 at Miller.
This camp introduces participants to the
basic strokes, rules, and strategies of pickleball. A cross between tennis, badminton, and ping pong, pickleball enjoys a large and growing community of players in the Pacific Northwest. Programs are designed for
beginning and intermediate players.
Hourly Wage: $27.00-$28.50
Status: Part-time, Seasonal
Location - Miller Community Center
Schedule
- Monday - Friday
- Camp session options may include:
- 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
- 1:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
- 9:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Summer Activity Camp: Pickleball Camp Instructor Responsibilities:
- Instruct participants ages 5-12 in basic pickleball strokes, rules, and strategies
- Lead safe, engaging, and age-appropriate camp activities
- Supervise participants and maintain a positive and inclusive environment
- Set up and break down equipment and activity areas
- Communicate effectively with ARC staff and site supervisors
- Follow ARC and Seattle Parks and Recreation policies and procedures
Summer Activity Camp: Pickleball Camp Instructor Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Experience instructing or coaching pickleball or similar racket/paddle sports
- Experience working with children in a recreational or camp setting
- Ability to manage groups in a positive and supportive manner
