Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer specializing in Construction Materials Testing to support our engineering and project management operations. This position requires an active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license and will be responsible for technical review, approval, and signing/sealing of materials testing reports.
Responsibilities
  • Review, approve, and sign/seal materials testing reports in accordance with applicable codes, standards, project specifications, and professional engineering requirements.
  • Provide technical oversight for construction materials testing activities, including soil, concrete, asphalt, masonry, and other construction materials.
  • Support project teams with technical questions, field issues, testing discrepancies, and engineering recommendations.
  • Serve as technical resource for clients, contractors, consultants, and internal staff.
  • Provide timely technical guidance and assist in resolving complex field and project-related issues.
  • Manager CMT projects, including project scope, schedules, budgets, staffing, deliverables, and clients' expectations.
  • Review laboratory and field testing results for accuracy, completeness, compliance and engineering significance.
  • Coordinate with field technicians, laboratory personnel, engineers, project managers, and administrative staff to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Train, mentor and provide technical guidance to engineer, engineering interns, technicians and other project personnel.
  • Participate in client meetings and provide engineering expertise throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist with proposals, project planning, scope development, and other project management activities as needed.
  • Perform additional engineering and project management responsibilities as required.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Construction, or Geotechnical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of progressive engineering experience
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record; travel as needed
  • Proficiency in engineering software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar) and project documentation tools
  • Solid knowledge of industry regulations, construction practices, and risk management
  • Effective communication and leadership skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Professional experience in construction materials testing, engineering or construction relater services.
    • Strong knowledge of construction materials, testing procedures, engineering standards, specifications and applicable codes.
    • Ability to communicate technical findings and recommendations effectively to both technical and non technical clients.
    • Experience managing Materials Testing Engineering projects

    Travel Requirements
    • This position requires moderate travel, approximately up to 40% of the time, in support of business
    objectives and client engagements. Travel may be both scheduled and on short notice, depending on
    project needs. Destinations typically include job sites, field locations, or regional offices, where work may
    be conducted in outdoor or operational environments. Adherence to all company safety protocols and
    use of PPE is required during travel and on-site work.
