Job Title: Soccer Camp Counselor - Part Time, Seasonal
Reports To: Facilities Manager and Soccer Coordinator
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Summary: With passion and dedication to excellence, the Addams Park Activities Soccer Camp Counselor will create a friendly, fun, and open environment while ensuring all safety procedures and protocols for children of all ages. A Soccer camp counselor will supervise, educate, and lead children of all ages through different outdoor and indoor Soccer activities at camp.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Leads indoor and outdoor soccer and educational activities gearing them to the needs of various age groups
  • Assists in all soccer-related activities, maintains a positive and inclusive approach with all assigned participants
  • Plans and assists in the daily preparation for the camp day; sets up a takes down equipment before and after soccer camp activities occur
  • Addresses behavioral issues when needed
  • Facilitates and encourages participation in camp activities
  • Knows and understands all emergency procedures associated with the soccer camp program
  • Communicates clearly and effectively in written and verbal methods with supervisor, parents, and children
  • Informs supervisor when in need of any equipment and/or resources for activities
  • Ensures all safety procedures and protocols are being followed by all soccer camp participants
  • Assists in maintaining accurate program records, including incident reports, logbook documentation, and daily attendance; attends camp counselor meetings when required
  • Supervises campers and ensures their safety, development, growth, skill achievement, and general well-being
  • Models good behavior for campers as it relates to sportsmanship, manners, and respectfulness
  • Interacts with parents in a professional and polite manner
  • Reports camper and parent complaints to supervisor as required
  • Completes other tasks and duties as assigned

Professional Requirements:
  • CPR Certified
  • Self-motivated, with excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Punctual, reliable, organized, and responsible
  • Ability to teach and instruct soccer techniques to children of all ages
  • Keeps management informed of program and facility needs
  • Ensures that safety standards are met, and that department and facility policies are adhered to
  • Experience playing soccer
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
  • General mobility including but not limited to walking, kneeling, and standing for long period of times

Schedule:
  • Camp Counselors are expected to work Monday through Friday from 8:30AM - 3:30PM every other week.
  • This role is seasonal and expected to work from June 8th, 2026, to August 7th, 2026.
  • All camp counselors will be required to attend training before camp starts.

Hourly Rate: $18.00
