Job description

MCV Law is hiring a Client Advocate/Case Manager to join their Workers' Compensation Team working in the Auburn and Syracuse offices. This is an in-office position working Monday - Friday, 8:30 - 5:00. The ideal candidate must be a detail-oriented problem solver with a passion for helping people. Prior experience in Workers' Compensation is preferred but not required. Relevant experience in legal, medical, or insurance fields is ideal. Candidates must be able to lift 25 pounds and climb a flight of stairs.
Job responsibilities include phone intake of new cases, preparation of retainer documents, meeting with clients to go over retainers and other documents, requests for hearings, requests for medical records and follow-up from providers, consistent phone and email contact with clients, transcription, assistance with case strategy, deposition coordination, correspondence, and legal documents to send to the Workers' Compensation Board, medical providers, insurance carriers, and other law offices.
Compensation is dependent on experience. Benefits include health insurance, PTO, Life Insurance, Long-Term Disability, Paid Parking, Summer Fridays, Voluntary Benefit Options (dental, accident), and a 401 (k) Plan (subject to eligibility). The salary is dependent on experience: $18.00-$26.00 per hour.
