EAC Network, a leading not-for-profit social service agency dedicated to helping over 80,000 people through 100 impactful programs across Long Island and NYC, is looking for a dedicated full time Administrative Assistant for our Brooklyn and Staten Island CRAN Community Re entry Assistance Network) program.
  • Wage: $24.28 per hour
  • Schedule: 9AM-5PM, Monday- Friday
  • Location: 175 Remsen Street in Brooklyn with occasional travel to 120 Stuyvesant in Staten Island

Primary Purpose of Job:
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for assisting the Program Director in coordinating program operations for the CRAN program.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Assist Director and Coordinators in coordinating daily operations of the program and supervise office operations in their absence.
  • Oversees Administrative department staff.
  • Answer, screen and direct phone calls and perform receptionist function at program office.
  • Handle petty cash and metro card disbursements and reconciliation.
  • Perform typing and general office duties.
  • Collect, review and input client admissions, rejections and pending cases into databases and assist Program Director and Supervisors in compiling monthly reports.
  • Oversee office supplies, maintain inventory and perform administrative duties as needed.
  • Oversee client intake schedule.
  • Oversee on and offsite storage files.
  • Assist the Case Management Unit with all aspects of case coordination and preparation for monthly audit. Maintain Audit Log.
  • Perform all other relevant duties as determined by Supervision and EAC NETWORK Administration.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required:
  • HS Diploma or educational equivalent required, degree preferred.
  • Minimum of one-year work experience in either human services or alcohol/substance abuse programs required.
  • Must have pleasant phone manner, good communication skills, both oral and written as well as the ability to work cooperatively with treatment providers and court personnel.
  • Must be proficient in computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications, calendar, and email and/or database software necessary to perform work assignments.
  • Minimum of two years of relevant office required.
