Job description

Job Description Our client is a commercial real estate company with a growing portfolio of managed properties and a collaborative accounting team. This role owns the full monthly close cycle for assigned properties, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting. It's a great fit for an accountant with a solid general ledger foundation who wants exposure to real estate accounting and the variety that comes with a multi-entity environment.

Perks include a WFH day on Wednesdays (after training period) and early Fridays during the summer. Responsibilities: Own month-end and year-end close procedures, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet analysis for assigned properties Maintain fixed asset schedules, depreciation entries, and construction WIP ledgers Assist with annual budget preparation and input into Yardi Serve as point of contact for third-party property managers and assist with annual tenant CAM, tax, and insurance reconciliations Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting 2-3 years of accounting experience; real estate or property accounting background preferred Proficiency in Yardi or a comparable property accounting system Strong understanding of accrual-based accounting, GAAP, and monthly close processes
