We are seeking a versatile Software Developer to join our technology team and help develop, maintain, integrate, and improve the systems that support our growing business. This is a broad development role for someone comfortable working across multiple programming languages, platforms, and business applications. The successful candidate will be a strong problem solver who can understand business challenges, develop practical solutions, and effectively leverage modern AI development tools to improve speed, quality, and efficiency. Reporting to the VP, Technology, this role will work closely with cross-functional teams across the organization to identify opportunities, deliver innovative solutions, and support O'Dell's ongoing digital transformation and growth initiatives.


What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop, test, maintain, and improve internal business applications and technology solutions.
  • Support, customize, automate, and improve our current NetSuite ERP environment.
  • Develop and maintain integrations between NetSuite and other business systems using APIs and related technologies.
  • Work across multiple programming languages, frameworks, and platforms depending on project requirements.
  • Build web-based applications, internal tools, dashboards, and workflow solutions.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, troubleshooting, testing, documentation, and solution development.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot application, integration, system, and data issues.
  • Collaborate with employees and departments across the organization to translate business requirements into effective technology solutions.
  • Maintain appropriate development documentation, source control, security, and coding standards.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend opportunities to improve our systems and processes.
  • Contribute to future ERP, eCommerce, AI, automation, and technology modernization initiatives.
  • Other applicable responsibilities as assigned.


What You Bring

  • Three plus (3+) years of professional software development or related technical experience.
  • Strong programming fundamentals with the ability to work across multiple languages and technology stacks.
  • Experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
  • Experience working with APIs, system integrations, and databases.
  • Experience with SQL or other data-querying technologies.
  • Experience with Git or similar source-control platforms.
  • Experience working with business applications, ERP systems, eCommerce platforms, or enterprise software.
  • Demonstrated experience using AI development tools to improve development productivity.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to learn new technologies and platforms quickly.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with ERP systems, APIs, integrations, or cloud-based business platforms such as NetSuite, Microsoft 365, Azure, Power Platform, or Shopify (preferred).
  • Experience with modern application development using technologies such as React, Angular, Vue.js, Python, Node.js, C#, or similar frameworks and programming languages (preferred).
  • Experience developing automation, AI-enabled solutions, dashboards, reporting tools, or data-driven applications, with an understanding of cloud architecture, authentication, and application security (preferred)
