Armed Security Officer
(Seasonal Summer Camp Assignment)

Pay: $28.00 Per Hour
Location: Santa Rosa, Ca
Position Type: Seasonal / Summer Assignment
About the Position
We are seeking professional, alert, and customer service-oriented Armed Security Officers for a seasonal summer camp assignment at a high-profile religious camp.
This position plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for campers, staff, guests, and residents throughout the summer season.
This is a high-visibility access control position requiring officers who are professional, detail-oriented, and capable of exercising sound judgment while interacting with the public.
Schedule:
Monday - - - 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM
Tuesday - - - 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM
Wednesday - - - 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM
Thursday - - - 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM

Primary Responsibilities
  • Control and monitor all vehicle and pedestrian access entering the property
  • Staff the guard shack located at the front entrance of the camp
  • Verify all individuals entering the property against the authorized access list
  • Contact the front office via radio for approval when individuals are not listed for access
  • Deny entry to unauthorized individuals without proper approval and verification
  • Conduct thorough vetting of all persons and vehicles entering the property
  • Maintain detailed awareness of activity entering and exiting the site
  • Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a strong security presence
  • Remain alert, professional, and attentive throughout the shift

Requirements
  • Active California BSIS Guard Card
  • Active California Firearm Permit
  • Must own and maintain a duty vest
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and observant in a high-profile environment
  • Reliable transportation and punctual attendance

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous armed security experience
  • Experience working access control or gate security assignments
  • Experience working in religious, school, residential, or high-profile environments
  • Strong report writing and radio communication skills

Equipment Requirements
Officers must report to duty with:
  • Firearm and valid firearm permit
  • Duty vest
  • Full professional duty belt and equipment

Important Note
Due to the nature of this assignment, officers are expected to follow all access control procedures exactly as instructed. Maintaining site security and preventing unauthorized access is the highest priority for this position.
