About This Program

A highly selective summer program in which academically talented high school juniors conduct hands‑on research in science, math, or engineering at Stony Brook University as Simons Fellows, working alongside faculty mentors and their research groups. Fellows receive a stipend and there is no tuition cost thanks to Simons Foundation support. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents who are high school juniors at the time of application; the deadline falls in early February.
