Monarch Manufacturing, Inc.'s Floater position is a flexible team member responsible for supporting multiple departments throughout the manufacturing process as needed. This role helps maintain workflow, productivity, quality, and efficiency by filling in where coverage or additional manpower is required. Floaters must be dependable, adaptable, safety-conscious, and willing to learn a variety of tasks across the facility.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position.


RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DUTIES:

  • Assist in multiple production departments based on daily operational needs
  • Fill in for absent employees or help areas experiencing increased workload
  • Perform assigned production tasks safely and efficiently
  • Maintain quality standards and follow all work instructions and procedures
  • Help keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with 5S standards
  • Operate tools, equipment, and machinery as trained
  • Support team leaders and supervisors with special projects or process improvements
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers regarding production needs
  • Meet productivity expectations while maintaining attention to detail
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Complete other duties as assigned.


COMPETENCIES/SKILLS:

  • Measuring skills on a tape measure to the nearest 1/16th of an inch.
  • Experience operating woodworking or production equipment
  • Listening and communication skills.
  • Forklift experience
  • Ability to learn multiple production processes quickly


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience working in a cabinet shop or woodworking/manufacturing environment required
  • Strong understanding of cabinet production processes and shop workflow
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic

  • Moving oneself in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments constantly.

  • Adjusting or moving objects of varying weights in all directions.
  • Constant repeated motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

  • Occasional exposure to high temperatures during summer months.
  • Constant exposure to noisy environments.
  • Exposure to hazardous materials, specifically chemical hazards in the form of solvents.
  • Exposure to airborne particles, specifically sawdust.


JOB LOCATION:

Sullivan, Illinois.


PAY SCALE:

$22.00 to $24.00 an hour.


WORK SCHEDULE:

Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. (40 hours a week).
Mandatory overtime is determined on a day-to-day basis.
