Position Summary
In this role, the Research Assistant/Staff will assist with mentoring and managing a high school summer student participating in the summer program. This position will guide younger students through the expectations of a research environment, provide peer mentorship, and support student engagement and retention. This position will coordinate day-to-day activities, reinforce laboratory and program protocols, and serve as a near-peer role model for the summer student. This position will help move current research projects within CEHP forward.

Conditions of Employment
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities which may include practicum.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in Biology/Biochemistry
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
