POSITION SUMMARY:
Martis Camp is seeking exceptional Personal Trainers to join our Fitness Team for the 2026 summer season.
At Martis Camp, we take a highly personalized, hospitality-driven approach to fitness, delivering seamless, elevated experiences for our Members. This role extends beyond training - it is an opportunity to create meaningful relationships, inspire results, and contribute to a best-in-class private club environment.
The ideal candidate brings a minimum of 5 years of professional training experience and a proven ability to work with clients across all ages, abilities, and fitness levels - from elite athletes to those with medical or physical considerations.
As a valued member of our Fitness Team, you will deliver highly customized, results-driven programs while upholding the highest standards of professionalism, discretion, and hospitality.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Warmly welcome Members and cultivate genuine relationships, learning and using names to create authentic connections.
  • Deliver private and small group training sessions that are safe, effective, engaging, and thoughtfully tailored to each client's and group's goals and preferences.
  • Conduct comprehensive fitness assessments and design individualized programs that support safe, sustainable, and measurable progress.
  • Track client progress and adjust programming to ensure continued results and long-term success.
  • Anticipate Member needs and deliver thoughtful, proactive touches that elevate the experience beyond the session (preparation, follow-up, and recovery recommendations).
  • Provide a consistently exceptional hospitality experience, ensuring every interaction reflects Martis Camp's commitment to excellence.
  • Maintain timely and professional communication with clients regarding scheduling, progress, and recommendations in alignment with the Club's standard of excellence.
  • Be visible and available on the fitness floor to support Members with equipment use, spotting, and general guidance, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment.
  • Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and presentation throughout all fitness spaces.
  • Assist with fitness class setup and breakdown, and support overall team operations as needed.
  • Exercise the highest level of professionalism and discretion when working within a private club environment.
  • Stay current with evolving fitness science, methodologies, and certifications to uphold a high level of expertise.
  • Ensure a safe environment at all times and be prepared to respond to emergencies as needed.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCES, CERTIFICATIONS & QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum 5 years of personal training and group fitness/training experience
  • Exercise Science or health-related degree (preferred, but not required)
  • Certified Personal Training Certification and ongoing education certifications (Minimum 2-3 preferred)
  • Required: Ability to work weekends, holidays, weekdays.
  • Required: 21+
  • Preferred experience working at a private club or elevated fitness environment
  • CPR/AED certified

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, kneel, stand, twist, sit, and walk throughout the day.
  • Ability to stand/ walk for up to 8 hours at a time.
  • Ability to twist, kneel, bend repeatedly when moving inventory, assisting members, and during site clean-up

WAGE AND BENEFITS:
Hourly rate of $22.00 - $23.50 /hr (DOE) + Generous Commission Structure
(Part-time, seasonal)
