Description
The Student Assistant is responsible to maintain student-initiated projects over the summer.
Examples of Duties
Maintain CGA projects over the summer, including but not limited to:
The Caples Garden, the Food Forest, the NatiMediFly, Residential Gardens, the Compost Haus, and the other shared green spaces, including Greenhouses
Weed and water all student gardens, maintaining the aesthetic and biological integrity of all student gardens and other green spaces.
Add or remove anything in green spaces with the approval of the appropriate coordinators of those spaces
Control invasives at and maintain the Compost Haus/Compost Management Area(s).
Responsible for communicating with the Chair(s) and green space coordinators to share Passover Documents and establish more specific duties
Act as a liaison between Physical Plant and the CGA and work closely with its employees while physically working in all spaces
Work closely with the Garden TA(s), the Compost TA(s), the Food Forest TA(s), and the Pollinator Garden and Ecology TA before summer starts to gain a comprehensive understanding of what needs to be done
Other duties as assigned

  • Must be a registered NCF student in good academic standing at start date
