 Location: School-Based Program Site This position will support before and after school programming at Voyager Academy, which supports elementary and middle/high school students.


Reports To: Head Coach/Site Leadership


Schedule: Part-Time (Before & After School Programs, School Breaks, and Summer Programs) Monday-Friday: 6:30AM-8:15AM and 3:45PM-6:00PM**schedule may vary slightly based on location


Pay: Based on experience and region

$30-35/hour (non-certified teachers - requires only Basic School Aged Care training)
Certified teachers may be eligible for an increase in hourly pay


Position Overview

As a Resilience Coach, you will help create a safe, engaging, and supportive environment where students can build confidence, develop life skills, and thrive.This is an active, hands-on role that combines mentorship, enrichment, recreation, and academic support. We are looking for positive, energetic team members who enjoy working with school-age children and creating meaningful connections every day.
Key Responsibilities

Student Engagement & Support

  • Build positive relationships with students and create a welcoming environment.
  • Serve as a role model by promoting respect, responsibility, and resilience.
  • Support students through positive behavior guidance and conflict resolution.
  • Ensure student safety and well-being at all times.

Program Delivery

  • Lead engaging enrichment, recreation, and team-building activities.
  • Facilitate homework help and academic support sessions.
  • Participate in games, fitness activities, and outdoor play.
  • Help students develop social-emotional and leadership skills.

Program Operations

  • Assist with daily program setup and cleanup.
  • Support student check-in, attendance, and dismissal procedures.
  • Maintain an organized, safe, and positive learning environment.
  • Follow all company policies, licensing requirements, and safety procedures.

Qualifications

  • 18 years old or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have completed the Basic School-Age Care (BSAC) training
  • 2 semester hours in child/youth development AND 2 semester hours in school-age programming
  • Experience working with children in schools, childcare programs, camps, recreation programs, or youth organizations preferred.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude, patience, and a genuine passion for youth development.
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to actively participate in indoor and outdoor activities.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout program hours.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds occasionally.
