Job description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

ProCare Therapy is seeking a qualified School Psychologist for an Extended School Year (ESY) position with Birmingham City Schools in Birmingham, Alabama. This is a summer-only opportunity focused on compensatory services, working with a supportive district team.

Position Overview:

Job Title: School Psychologist
Location: Birmingham, AL (Birmingham City Schools)
Program: Extended School Year (ESY)
Start Date: June 15, 2026
End Date: July 30, 2026
Schedule: Typically 7:45 AM – 2:00 PM
Hours: Varies based on student needs and services required
Employment Type: Contract, Onsite Only (through ProCare Therapy)
Note: This position is strictly in-person (no virtual) and no travel assignments available for this ESY position

Key Responsibilities:

Provide compensatory psychological services to students as required
Conduct assessments, evaluations, and interpret results
Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families
Support student academic, behavioral, and emotional needs
Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state and district guidelines

Qualifications:

Active Alabama School Psychologist License required
Master’s or Specialist Degree in School Psychology or related field
Previous school-based experience preferred
Strong assessment and collaboration skills
