Position Details

The Registrar's Office at The University of Tampa has a position available for a Transfer Evaluator. This position reports to the Associate Registrar for Transfer Evaluation.


Responsibilities
1. Perform transfer evaluations for prospective, new, and current students using post-secondary transcripts, exam scores (AP, CLEP, IB, A level), and international transcripts.
2. Review and analyze course descriptions and syllabi, college catalogs, and other documents to evaluate and apply credits to degree requirements.
3. Assist with articulation processes related to transfer evaluation and rule development.
4. Monitor workflow and volume, communicating with supervisors and other enrollment management team members.
5. Counsel students on transient issues and process transient approval forms.
6. Assist faculty, students, and staff with all issues and questions related to transfer evaluation.
7. Correspond with prospective students, parents, alumni, and others via Zoom, e-mail, or phone.
8. Develop and maintain a high level of accuracy and speed ensuring the integrity of the UT academic record and course database.
9. General registrar related advising and participation in the on-going registration functions of the Registrar's Office.
10. Contribute to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures and backgrounds.


Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred.
2. Experience in a Registrar's office, admissions, or advising at a regionally accredited institution.
3. Familiarity with transfer evaluation policies, procedures, and best practices.
4. Comprehensive knowledge of university transfer evaluation policies.
5. Broad understanding of FERPA and accreditation standards.
6. Strong research, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
7. Excellent written, oral, interpersonal, and organizational skills as well as the ability to establish priorities and manage time wisely.
8. Knowledge of or the ability to quickly learn The University of Tampa software programs such as Workday and Microsoft Office.
9. Willingness to embrace new technologies and innovative organizational practices.


Work Schedule
Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Summer: Monday-Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Occasional evenings and weekends may be required.
