Caring Transitions of Apple Valley, MN helps clients make smooth and stress-free transitions from one living situation to another. We specialize in relocation, downsizing, decluttering, home clean-outs, and liquidations through online estate sales. We're hiring Part -Time Team Members to work on-site at people's homes in the South Metro including Burnsville, Apple Valley, Rosemount, Hastings, Cannon Falls, Northfield and all areas in between. Job Description:
You deliver excellent customer service with compassion, while safely and efficiently helping clients downsize, declutter, relocate and clear-out property from homes and garages. Every day is different. You truly make a difference in the lives of our clients every single day.
We offer flexibility and part-time work with no required or guaranteed hours. Perfect for parents with school-aged kids, college students, active retirees, teachers on summer break, and for anyone with a busy schedule looking for extra money.
You adapt to new situations, effectively solve problems, work independently with minimal supervision, and work productively in a team environment. We are fun to work with, and so are you.
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Work on a team to downsize, relocate clients, and liquidate unneeded items.
  • Organize, pack, unpack, and resettle clients in their homes and in senior living communities.
  • Sort items for recycling, donation, disposal and clean-out.
  • Assist buyers during on-site pickup and sales.
  • Stand/walk for long periods, bend, lift up to 25 pounds, climb stairs, pack/unpack and label boxes. Carry supplies, items, property, and moving boxes within a home or to/from vehicles using a dolly or cart.
  • Note that we are not movers! We use professional movers for large furniture and items over 25 pounds.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Compassion and respect for clients and their families-Senior focused
  • Ability to complete tasks and work in fast paced, changing environments
  • Willingness to work in cluttered and/or dirty environments (PPE provided as needed) and perform the outlined physical requirements
  • Excellent prioritization and organizational skills
  • Punctual and attentive to detail
  • Have consistently reliable transportation and a smart phone for scheduling, time keeping and executing general project duties.
  • 18 years or older with a valid Driver's License
  • Ability to pass background check
  • Must live near or be willing to drive to southern Dakota County and northern Rice and Goodhue Counties (cities served: Burnsville, Apple Valley, Rosemount, Farmington, Hastings, Cannon Falls, Northfield, and surrounding areas)

Hours/Scheduling:
The Team Member position is part-time on an as needed basis with no guaranteed hours. Flexible schedules with part-to-full time hours will be available with schedule generally posted a week in advance, but last-minute shifts do become available. This is a perfect fit for individuals who would like to make extra income but don't require a consistent work schedule. As our business provides services Monday - Friday during typical day time business hours and weekends only as needed we do require that all Team Members have wide ranging availability within that time frame. Scheduling is based on our client needs, our Team Member availability, and the skill set needed for the project(s).
Job Type: Part-time/occasional (Day Shift)
Pay: Starting rate of $16.00+ per hour with potential increases as early as 90 days
