This internship will require that the intern work a maximum of 20 hours per week for Spring semester and a maximum of 40 hours per week for the Summer. Must be a current undergraduate student at Fayetteville State University.

Primary Purpose of the Position:
Open to all majors and classifications. Students will intern with an employer related to their major or career aspirations.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Complete an Interview and Internship Orientation with College of Business and Economics Internship Coordinator prior to starting the internship
  • Complete the Student Learning Contract with the Office of Career Services and College of Business and Economics Coordinator Internship Coordinator prior to starting the internship
  • Must work a maximum of 20 hours per week or according to employer work load/requirements for 10 weeks during the Spring or Fall semesters.
  • Must work a maximum of 40 hours per week or according to employer work load/requirements for 10 weeks during the Summer.

Knowledge skills and abilities:
• Demonstrate a commitment to the community and giving back
• Have sufficient background and maturity to learn from this experience
• Be well organized, take direction well, and be a self-starter willing to seek assignments and guidance
• Seek continuous learning and improvement through feedback and other means
• Be open to change and to considerable variety in the workplace
• Have high level of both written and oral communication skills
• Be able to analyze problems and arrive at a proper solution
• Be proficient or have a strong working knowledge navigating Microsoft Office Suite, internet browsers, keyboarding skills, etc.
