Salary:

Empowerment is seeking passionate, driven students currently pursuing degrees in Social Work, Education, Psychology, or Human Services for our Summer Internship program. This role is designed for those who want hands-on experience working with underprivileged youth in a community-based summer camp setting.

As an intern, you won't just be "helping out"you will be on the front lines of social impact, providing academic support, life skills coaching, and essential Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Academic Tutoring: Provide one-on-one and small group instruction to bridge the "summer slide" gap for kids in underserved communities.
  • Life Skills Building: Facilitate workshops on emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, and personal organization.
  • Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR): Assist in implementing behavioral interventions and social-emotional learning activities to help youth develop healthy coping mechanisms.
  • Case Management Support: Shadow experienced professionals to learn the intake process, documentation, and how to connect families with vital community resources.
