Pay Rate: $15/hour
Start Date: June 8th End Date: August 14th
Schedule: Monday Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Position Overview:
The Cedar Rapids Community School District Operations Department is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Summer Intern to assist with facility data management, drafting, and database updates. This position provides hands-on experience working with facility plans, asset tracking systems, and operational data.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and update the vehicle database to ensure accurate and current records
  • Develop and revise floor plans and site plans using AutoCAD
  • Incorporate site information related to mowing and grounds maintenance into plans
  • Update DWG roof plans and verify surface details for accuracy
  • Maintain and update floor plans and equipment records in FacilityOne
  • Use Bluebeam to review, edit, and manage digital drawings and documents
  • Assist with general operations-related data management and documentation

Qualifications:
  • Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and Bluebeam
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Interest in facilities management, engineering, or related field preferred
