These internships typically last between 8 to 12 weeks and provide an opportunity for interns to apply what they've learned in school to real-world projects, develop new skills, and build professional networks. Many companies use summer internships as a way to evaluate potential future employees, while interns benefit from valuable exposure and resume-building experiences.
