Job description

  • โ€ Special Dietary Chef โ€“ Summer Camp 2026 (Mayโ€“August)
  • Do you have a passion for creating delicious meals that everyone can enjoy, no matter their dietary needs? Weโ€™re looking for a Special Dietary Chef to join our summer camp culinary team across the USA. Youโ€™ll bring creativity, skill, and leadership to feed up to 800 campers and staff daily, making sure every guest feels included and cared for at the table.
This is a seasonal position (Mayโ€“August 2026) โ€” a chance to spend your summer doing meaningful work in a fun, energetic camp environment!
    What Youโ€™ll Do
    • Develop and prepare inclusive menus: gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, vegan, and allergy-friendly options.
    • Lead day-to-day kitchen operations with a focus on safety, efficiency, and teamwork.
    • Oversee meal service for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and special events.
    • Maintain top-notch food safety and sanitation standards (so every inspection passes with flying colors).
    • Work with the Food Service Director to manage quality, costs, and kitchen staff training.
    • Bring energy, creativity, and a welcoming attitude to the dining experience โ€” food is a big part of camp memories!
  • What Weโ€™re Looking For
    • 5+ years culinary experience (camp or large-scale cooking preferred).
    • ServSafe Food Manager Certification (required).
    • Strong background in special dietary meal planning and preparation.
    • Leadership skills and a team-first mindset.
    • Able to lift 50 lbs, work in hot and cold environments, and keep pace in a busy kitchen.
    • Must pass a background check and hold a valid U.S. driverโ€™s license.
    • Available Mayโ€“August 2026.
  • Why Youโ€™ll Love It
    • Be the reason campers and staff with special diets feel cared for and included.
    • Lead a talented kitchen team in a fun, supportive summer atmosphere.
    • Gain experience in large-scale production cooking (up to 800 meals/day).
    • Work in a setting thatโ€™s more than just a kitchen โ€” itโ€™s part of the camp experience.
  • Apply now to make a difference this summer!
Bring your culinary passion, creativity, and leadership to camp, and help us make 2026 a summer to remember.
