The US Hansen Leadership Institute 2025 is a transformational and fully funded summer exchange program at the University of San Diego, California. This opportunity is for both international students and to U.S. citizens, on one platform that could push for their personal and professional growth. Participants will analyze critical issues of global cooperation, develop leadership skills, and take part in creating a more peaceful, interconnected world.

This fellowship program in US focuses on experiential learning and creates a collaborative environment in which participants engage with meaningful dialogue, diverse perspectives, and innovative solutions for global challenges. Participant learning will culminate through workshops, simulations, and real-time application projects focused on global issues in conflict resolution, negotiation, intercultural communication, and international governance.

• Must have an upper-division undergraduate completed 2 years of college.
• Graduate students whose emphasis is on international relations, diplomacy, international economic development, or other related areas
• Applicant should be 20 to 25 years old by the time he/she will begin the program.
• Must demonstrate proven leadership in his or her community through service and initiatives nationally or regionally
• English language proficiency is required for an applicant; his academic advisor should verify.
• An international passport with a U.S. visa should be in place by the time of the start of the program.
• Preference will be given to students who have never visited the United States.

For U.S. Students:

• The applicant should have completed 2 years of college as an upper-division undergraduate.
• Applicants who are graduate students, specializing in international relations, diplomacy, international economic development, or related areas.
• The applicant must be aged between 20 and 25 years at the commencement of the program.
• The applicant should have demonstrated leadership in community service, public service, or through involvement with a non-governmental organization.
