The YMCA is looking for energetic, positive, and creative staff who want to make an impact on young minds this summer! Do you enjoy an upbeat atmosphere, great team members, and want a FREE YMCA MEMBERSHIP for the summer? We have a great opportunity for you!
The YMCA Camp Counselor is responsible for leading the camper experience and enjoyment of an outdoor day camp for campers ages 5-13. The Camp Counselor provides quality childcare, fosters achievement, encourages belonging, and acts as an energetic, positive role model for children and staff, while creating age appropriate activities.
Job Requirements:
  • Experience working with school age children preferred.
  • Requires high energy and an interest in planning and participating in fun and creative recreational and experiential activities with children.
  • Ability to create a safe and fun environment for campers to thrive.
  • Positive attitude and creative thinking skills.

Qualifications:
  • Must be 18 years old
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must pass First Aid and CPR training - WE WILL TRAIN
  • Willingness and desire to work outdoors for up to 10 hours in all weather conditions with children
  • Ability to perform all physical aspects of the position that include hiking, bending, kneeling, stretching, reaching, jumping, jogging, dancing, swimming.
