The Summer Program Manager manages the day to day operations of the 7 week summer program; works with the FRC Director to create the weekly schedule; works with Coordinators to create weekly plans of enrichment activities for children in grades kindergarten through 7th grade (ages 5-12); supervisesCounselors in Training program; organizes and manages staff; organizes children into large and small groups; facilitates large and small group activities using developmentally appropriate ways; shares information with parents during morning drop off and evening pick-up; communicates regularly with FRC director regarding concerns and/or needs of the program; ensures attendance is taken and children are accounted for; monitors safety of children and activities; manages schedules and staff breaks; sets up for weekly program on Sunday evening; supervises children and oversees staff on field trips; and other necessary practices deemed to be in the best interest of the program as advised by FRC Director.
Schedule: 40 Hours/7 weeks (Rotating Schedule/Hours may vary based on needs of the program)
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in education with certification preferred, available to work 7 weeks(rotating schedule) of Summer Program, experience in supervising and managing staff, must enjoy and have experience working with children, experience in researching and planning developmentally appropriate activities and field trips for children, has the ability to assist in resolving conflicts with children and/or Certified staff, must be able to multi-task, ability to move and lift up to sixty-five (65) lbs, CPR/First Aid. Position requires a seven week commitment.
