Role Summary

We are seeking a results-driven Fresh Sales Account Representative to grow our Fresh Seafood business within the ethnic retail supermarket channel. This role focuses on developing relationships with retail buyers, expanding distribution within multicultural markets, and driving sales growth through strong customer partnerships, market insights, and effective product positioning.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage relationships with ethnic retail supermarket chains and independent retailers to grow fresh seafood sales
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within multicultural retail markets across Ontario and other target regions
  • Work with retail buyers and store operators to secure product listings, promotions, and shelf placement
  • Monitor retail market trends, pricing, and competitive activity within ethnic seafood categories
  • Collaborate with procurement and operations teams to ensure product availability aligned with retail demand
  • Partner with QA and product development to ensure product quality, specifications, and labeling meet retail and regulatory standards
  • Support promotional activities, product launches, and in-store initiatives to drive sales growth
  • Analyze sales data and customer performance to identify growth opportunities and optimize product mix
  • Participate in retail visits, customer meetings, and industry events to strengthen relationships and identify new opportunities
  • Work cross-functionally with logistics, procurement, and finance to ensure seamless order fulfillment and customer satisfaction
  • Achieve sales and profitability targets through effective account management and territory development
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Skills

  • 2 years of experience in Ethnic retail food sales
  • Fluent in Mandarin and/or Cantonese
  • Strong understanding of fresh food or seafood sales within retail environments
  • Proven ability to build relationships with retail buyers, store operators, and distributors
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to analyze sales data and market trends to drive business decisions
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with ERP or sales systems is an asset
  • This position is based in a professional office setting, with work primarily performed at a desk using a computer, phone, and other standard office equipment.
