Your opportunity

The Tax Specialist will work on a variety of tax files and provide technical support to team members and clients of Canadian taxation. Start date for this role will be September 8th.


Your major responsibilities

  • Prepare a variety of tax returns (personal, corporate and trust income tax returns, as well as sales tax returns) and information returns (including partnership returns and foreign reporting forms)
  • Assist with income tax and sales tax research for internal and external client needs
  • Assist with correspondences and engage in discussions with various tax authorities
  • Compile necessary facts, analyze viable options, prepare documentation, and present conclusions in a complete, accurate, organized and professional manner for internal and external client use
  • Assist Managers with tax planning for a variety of clients that involve domestic and international income tax and sales tax issues


What we look for

  • Relevant coop or internship experience is an asset
  • Committed to obtaining a CPA designation
  • University degree with a specialization in accounting
  • Knowledge of CaseWare and TaxPrep is an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel and Word)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Excellent organizational skills with a high attention to detail
