Job Summary
We are seeking Summer Managers to work from May to September in various outdoor pools and splash pads throughout Loudoun County. As a member of the leadership team, you will assist with the enforcement of rules, regulations, procedures, and operations. A successful candidate will have leadership experience, a strong focus on customer service, and attention to detail to assist with administrative duties.
We are currently hiring for the following location(s):
โ€ข Franklin Park, Purcellville, VA
โ€ข Lovettsville Community Center, Lovettsville, VA
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
โ€ข Overseeing operations of concession stands, including daily travels to the bank, scheduling, ordering, and the opening and closing of outdoor pool sites.
โ€ข Sets up the pool for proper operation according to program grids, calendars, and posted hours; reconfigures pool as needed for special programs.
โ€ข Monitors safe use of pools by customers and responds to injuries that may occur in a pool environment.
โ€ข Maintains emergency preparedness in the pool facility.
โ€ข Supervises and schedules Lifeguards and Water Attendant Staff.
โ€ข Maintenance and use of the vehicle for occasional meetings and bank visits.
โ€ข Prioritizing the health, safety, and company service standards for all our external and internal customers.
โ€ข Organizes and conducts pool meetings and in-service sessions as required, and arranges pavilion and tent rentals utilizing on-site technology while coordinating the setup for the events.
โ€ข May perform other essential job functions specific to the position and department assignment.
*Flexible availability is needed from May 2026 to September 2026. *
*The work schedule varies and includes mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. *
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent and One (1) year experience in overseeing aquatic or pool operations in a leadership role.
Preferred Qualifications:
โ€ข Related degree or certification in Parks and Recreation, Environmental Education, and/or Natural Resources.
โ€ข American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor certification.
