Job Description Summary:The Director of Cosmetic Unit will serve as a strategic partner to the Unit Head, leading end-to-end business ownership across product planning, brand strategy, marketing execution, sales growth, and supply chain optimization.
This role is responsible for building and scaling cosmetic brands through integrated business leadership - from long-term strategic planning and portfolio management to hands-on execution in B2C, B2B, and digital channels.
The ideal candidate is a proven business leader with a successful track record in driving revenue growth, brand expansion, and operational excellence within the beauty industry.Job Description:1. Position Overview

This position acts as a second-in-command business leader within the Cosmetics Unit, overseeing holistic brand and business performance.

The role combines strategic leadership with operational expertise across:

  • Corporate & Brand Strategy

  • Product Development & Merchandising

  • B2C & B2B Marketing

  • Online & Digital Commerce

  • Sales & Channel Expansion

  • Demand Planning & Supply Chain Management

The candidate must demonstrate both executive-level strategic capability and hands-on execution experience.

2. Key ResponsibilitiesI. Business Strategy & P&L Ownership
  • Co-develop and execute long-term business strategy aligned with corporate objectives

  • Own full P&L accountability (Revenue, Margin, COGS, Inventory Turn, ROI)

  • Set annual and multi-year growth targets

  • Develop scalable business models across mass, beauty supply, online, and global markets

  • Identify expansion opportunities (new markets, new channels, new product categories)

  • Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and profitability optimization

II. Product Strategy & Innovation Leadership
  • Oversee end-to-end product lifecycle from concept to commercialization

  • Define portfolio architecture and pricing strategy

  • Align product roadmap with consumer insights and competitive landscape

  • Ensure margin targets (COG, landed cost, inventory risk control)

  • Drive differentiation strategy in saturated beauty markets

  • Collaborate with R&D, sourcing, and vendors for innovation and speed-to-market

III. Marketing Strategy & Brand Growth
  • Develop integrated brand positioning and communication strategy

  • Lead both B2C and B2B marketing planning

  • Oversee digital marketing, influencer campaigns, Amazon strategy, and social commerce

  • Manage marketing investment allocation and performance tracking

  • Ensure strong sell-through support programs (promotion, bundles, GWP, launch kits)

  • Build measurable KPI framework (CAC, ROAS, conversion, brand equity metrics)

IV. Sales & Channel Development
  • Build and execute omni-channel sales strategy (Beauty Supply, Mass, Amazon, DTC, Global)

  • Strengthen distributor relationships and retail partnerships

  • Develop channel-specific pricing and promotion strategy

  • Support key account negotiations and business reviews

  • Analyze sell-in vs sell-through performance to optimize inventory

V. Supply Chain & Demand Planning Oversight
  • Oversee demand forecasting accuracy and inventory management

  • Improve inventory turnover and minimize aging stock

  • Coordinate with procurement and logistics to ensure operational efficiency

  • Balance growth with working capital discipline

VI. Organizational Leadership & Cross-Functional Integration
  • Act as strategic thought partner to Unit Head

  • Lead cross-functional alignment across Product, Marketing, Sales, and Operations

  • Build high-performance team culture with clear KPI accountability

  • Mentor mid-level managers and develop future leaders
