Our staff consists of locals, transplants, seasonal workers from all 50 states and international students from around the globe. PURPOSE OF POSITION: A Cook II is responsible for assisting the sous chef with the preparation and presentation of the daily menus (especially high-quality specials, soups, stew and chilies). The Grotto is an employee dining room.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Produce flavorful dishes adhering to production standards and time constraints

  • Cook dishes according to recipes and develop new food selections in conjunction with the sous chef and executive chef

  • Keep service lines clean, change pans as needed, and ensure food selections are well-stocked and appropriately garnished

  • Properly store and rotate food to ensure freshness and avoid waste

  • Completed daily inventories

  • Assist servers during busy times

  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS :
  • Previous kitchen experience required

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
