Job description

JOB TITLE: Cook

DIVISION: Food and Beverage

REPORTS TO: Kitchen Manager

LOCATION: Moonbeam Lodge

CLASSIFICATION:Seasonal Hourly

PURPOSE OF POSITION: The Cook provides support to the entire Lodge staff, especially in the Kitchen. This position is responsible for prepping and cooking food to order as well as cleaning the kitchen and providing quality guest services while maintaining the service standards of Solitude Mountain Resort.

SPECIFIC JOB REQUIRMENTS:

  • Good communicatation skills with all staff including management
  • Knowledge of all kitchen functions including health code and OSHA requirements
  • Self motivated
  • Prepared
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Reliable transportation
  • food handler's permit

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide quality guest experiences
  • Fulfill customer requests and needs
  • Prepare and cook food to order
  • Clean the kitchen
  • Present self in a professional manner
  • Prepare and place food and supply orders
  • Assist with food cost control
  • Complete other tasks as directed by Food and Beverage management, including special events and weddings
