Job description

We are seeking a lawyer who practices in corporate law, commercial law, and/or real estate law. The candidate must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience practicing law in BC. We are looking for someone specifically with their own practice and book of clients. We are open to discussions around hiring an employee who the candidate already works with. We provide a turnkey solution for lawyers who want to spend more time practicing law versus dealing with administrative obligations.

The Associate Counsel role operates on a management fee basis, allowing the lawyer to run their own independent practice while benefiting from our firm's resources and offerings, which include:

  • Ongoing mentorship and support from our lawyers

  • Collegial environment

  • Access to legal support staff (inclusive of real estate and corporate paralegals)

  • Access to the boardroom, kitchen, and other building amenities

  • Website profile and custom-printed Logica business cards

  • A well-equipped office workstation with an adjustable chair

  • Direct line, telephone, fax, internet access, and Wi-Fi

  • Use of photocopier, scanner, and printer

  • Supply of general office stationery and supplies

  • Provision of a new computer with multiple monitors and other equipment as requested

  • Access to accounts for BC Online, LTSA, Unity Accounting, eConvey, and other software platforms

  • Marketing budget (amount may vary based on projected billings)

  • Firm presence and infrastructure to support your practice

  • Support for working remotely (as needed) including email and secure access to data

Compensation:

$200,000 - $350,000 yearly
