In this role, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, helping drive talent strategies, employee engagement, compliance, and organizational success across multiple locations. What You'll Do

  • Demonstrates and promotes Crane's core values (Act with Integrity and Respect, Foster Teamwork, Focus on the Customer, Strive for Excellence and Innovation, Project Passion and Energy and Have Fun).
  • Partners with team members and management to communicate various Human Resources policies, procedures, and employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, and workers' compensation compliance.  
  • Leads full cycle recruitment efforts - including job postings, sourcing, interviewing, extending offers, onboarding, and new hire orientation. 
  • Builds and maintains relationships with schools, technical colleges, and community organizations; represents Crane Engineering at career fairs and student outreach. 
  • Collaborates with hiring managers to develop effective recruitment strategies that attract and retain top talent aligned with Crane's culture and values. 
  • Supports safety initiatives by maintaining and updating records in online customer safety databases and ensuring compliance with company and regulatory safety standards. 
  • Manages and administers leave programs (FMLA, ADA, and workers' compensation), ensuring timely communication, accurate documentation and compliance with applicable laws. 
  • Ensures compliance with federal and state employment regulations. 
  • Acts as a resource for team member concerns and questions, providing excellent service to internal customers.
  • Leads retention efforts by monitoring engagement, implementing feedback driven initiatives and supporting career development opportunities. 
  • Provides HR support to multiple locations in a multi-state environment. 
  • Administer Performance Management. 
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field; five to 10 years' related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • SHRM certification is preferred. 
  • Strong leadership and communication skills demonstrated through success in fostering an employee-focused culture.
  • A well-organized team player who can relate to employees at all levels of an organization. 
  • A decisive individual who possesses a strategic focus as well as an operational, implementation and detail-oriented perspective to resolve a range of human resource related issues.
  • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. 
  • Broad knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, safety and training and development. 
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
