REPORTS TO: Campus Pastor
STATUS: Salary Exempt

You'll do this by working closely with the campus pastor sharing teaching responsibilities, making disciples, and taking on the role of family ministry overseer. As the campus pastor's ministry assistant, you must have a passion for God's word, a passion for people, and a diligent work ethic that can meet the demands of a growing church. You will:
  • Be responsible to oversee and lead our six78 middle school ministry and HSM high school ministry (50% of Schedule)
  • Assist and support Campus Pastor with other areas of ministry as needed (50%)
  • Be expected to attend various meetings: Staff Huddles, Campus Staff Meetings, SPOC Meetings, Planning and Training Meetings, etc.
  • Help strategize and develop outreach initiatives to our local community and youth
  • Need to be able to logically organize and simplify information in a way that effectively communicates to our congregation the mission and vision of our church.
  • Work collaboratively with staff and volunteers across ministry departments
  • You will prepare lessons, plan sermons, and teach the Bible in various ministries including occasional church services.
  • Host and facilitate meetings such as connect classes, young adult groups, small groups, and men's bible studies.
  • Lead and participate in various youth programs like: Youth Encounter, Kids Conf, V.B.S. and summer camp programs.
  • Counsel students, families, men, and volunteers.
  • Assist and support during baptisms, weddings and memorial services.
  • Lead volunteer meetings and help train new volunteers.
  • Participate, plan, and lead various church outreaches throughout the year.
  • Perform other ministry-related tasks as needed and assigned by the campus pastor.

You have:
  • A good understanding of the whole counsel of God and proficiency in Biblical exegesis.
  • Experience in teaching the word of God
  • A good working knowledge of computer software (e.g. Excel, Word, Google drive).
  • Highly developed personal skills.
  • The ability to multitask.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to function with minimum supervision
  • Proper skills in areas of public speaking and writing.
  • Shows spiritual, emotional, social and mental maturity.
  • The ability to coordinate and direct major ministry events.
  • The ability to earn people's respect, trust and confidence

What you are required to know:
  • We are an EEO employer.

  • This is a full-time salary exempt position.
  • You may have to work evenings and/or weekends to assist with special events or emergencies.

Work Schedule:
Staff culture is important to what we do. To love like family, we require all staff to attend all staff meetings, department meetings and serve with a willing heart especially at all major campus events.
Your work schedule will include Sunday's and Wednesday's being high priority day's that include church services.
