Summer Activity Camp: Art & Craft Camp Instructor (Garfield)
The Associated Recreation Council (ARC), in partnership with Seattle Parks & Recreation, is hiring a Art & Craft Camp Instructor. The instructor will be responsible for programming and delivering art & crafting class to kids aged 5-7. This camp focuses on hands-on art and craft projects designed to encourage creativity, imagination, and self-expression. Participants will explore a variety of materials and techniques while creating fun projects in a supportive camp environment. The instructor must have the ability to engage with a diverse group of children and manage a classroom of students. A passion for arts and crafts is a must!
Start Date:
6/1/2026
Camp Schedule:
  • Monday-Friday, 20-40 hours per week.
  • Work dates are contingent on camps meeting the minimum enrollment

Pay Range:
  • $24.00-$25.00/hr

Activity Camp Location:
  • Garfield Community Center

Summer Activity Camp: Art & Craft Camp Instructor Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver developmentally appropriate activity camp lesson plans/activities to kids ages 5-7 for a camp
  • Encourage creativity and participation among campers
  • Maintain documentation on camp participants to ensure security and youth safety- including but not limited to sign in sheets, medical needs and parenting plans
  • Use critical thinking to problem-solve and manage conflict
  • Generate supply lists for each camp; there will be some class supply funds available
  • Maintain camp appropriate professional appearance
  • Daily set-up, take down and cleaning of space

Summer Activity Camp: Art & Craft Camp Instructor Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Prior youth programming experience required
  • Must have demonstrated working experience working with families, community members and partners to foster positive relationships
