Job description

Counselor – Robotics Day Camp

Robotics Day Camp utilizes robotics to explore the realms of science, technology, engineering, and math. Working with LEGO®, VEX™ GO, and VEX™ IQ platforms, campers design, build, and program robots to meet technical challenges and participate in competitions. Duties: Interact with families and campers (boys and girls, grades 1-7) in a positive, nurturing and enriching manner. Supervise and be accountable for campers during the camp day including pick-up/drop-off, classroom and outdoor activities, lunchtime, transitions, and downtime. Lead enriching and creative experiences when assigned. Manage campers in all activities and while moving about campus to ensure consistent engagement and safety for each camper. Provide enriching and creative growth experiences within the camp activities.

Qualifications: High school diploma; childcare experience; superior problem-solving skills and ability to relate with campers, staff, and parents.

Preferred: 18+ years of age; currently attending or graduated from college; camp employment experience.

Timeframe: Orientation begins the week of June 9. Camp runs Monday-Friday, June 15-August 7, with pack-away on August 8.

Wage: $16.50 per hour.
