Join the Bellevue Club and Hotel team. As the premier athletic and social club on Seattle's Eastside, the Bellevue Club is a gathering place for the Northwest's most celebrated and visionary citizens. The Bellevue Club Recreation Department is looking to hire energetic, service-oriented individuals to work as a part-time Camp Instructors.
Position Overview:
Candidates must be available Monday-Friday, 8am-6pm, a minimum of 5 weeks 10-week summer (Late June - August) for summer camps.
Instructs and supervises a variety of sport-, activity-, or learning-related youth programs.

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Work under the direction of the Recreation Director and Youth Programs Manager to ensure the camp vision and essential functions are being met.
  • Responsible for a group of 15-20 children daily, accompanying them during all events and activities. Following a 1:8 or 1:4 ratio based on camp age guidelines.
  • Planning, organizing, and executing, weekly camp schedule.
  • Follows daily instructional schedules, taking into consideration the activity, age, and ability of participants.
  • Conducts activities or provides instruction and coordination of activities as appropriate.
  • Monitors and maintains appropriate equipment.
  • Maintains communication with the Recreation Director regarding progress and problems involved with the various activities involved in the Camp.
  • Setting a good example for campers and other instructors in all areas including cleanliness, punctuality, rules, and sportsmanship.
  • Maintaining attendance and authorized pick-up forms for all campers.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Prior experience working with children 3 years or older- in a camp, teaching or coaching.
  • CPR and First Aid certification- Provided through Bellevue Club if needed.
  • Safe Sport Certified- Provided through Bellevue Club.
  • Excellent knowledge of a variety of activities, as well as the ability to effectively convey this information to others.
  • Ability to swim/comfortable in shallow water pool.
  • Available during primary Interview period: May 1st - June 5th
